Stafflex Education is currently recruiting SEND Support Workers to work across welcoming and supportive primary schools in Huddersfield and the wider Kirklees area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in children's lives while benefiting from flexible, part-time work.
About the Role:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN within primary school settings
- Work 1:1 or with small groups to support learning, development, and emotional wellbeing
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Support pupils with additional needs, including communication, behavioural, and learning challenges
- Assist the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support strategies
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or similar)
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
- Passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Ability to adapt to different school environments and pupil needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
