Staffing Match is recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics and distribution company to find a Section Leader. This permanent role is vital for managing people and processes within key warehouse areas to ensure departmental KPIs are met and operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities as a Section Leader:
- Manage assigned warehouse processes including Despatch, Rework, Returns areas.
- Ensure the right resources are deployed to meet performance targets and KPIs.
- Promote and enforce safe working practices throughout the warehouse, taking action on any health and safety breaches.
- Identify and resolve operational problems proactively to minimise disruption.
- Foster a positive working environment through regular communication, feedback, and team engagement.
- Monitor individual and team performance, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to support development.
- Support the Section Manager with formal performance management, absence, and disciplinary processes.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying areas for development and acting on them.
- Lead or participate in ad hoc projects as required.
