Our client, a market leader in turnkey engineering solutions, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Worcester. This is a key role supporting the delivery of complex, cutting-edge engineering projects within R&D and engine test cell environments.
The successful candidate will work alongside Senior Engineers to support the full lifecycle of design and delivery, from customer RFQs to final documentation, while ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to turnkey engineering projects with an understanding of time and cost management
- Create and manage Bills of Materials using CALIACH ERP from CAD/ePlan drawings
- Produce design concepts and schematics based on customer RFQs
- Support the completion of CE marking Technical Files and Manuals
- Liaise with Project Managers, shop floor teams, purchasing, and other departments
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and project documentation
- Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven experience in Engine Test Cell or R&D engineering environments
- Proficiency in ePlan or AutoCAD
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Working knowledge of test cell systems, motors, drives, PLCs, and power distribution
- Familiarity with standards including BS 13849, BS 7671, and EN 60204
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Basic understanding of value engineering principles
- Willingness to travel to UK and overseas client sites when required (supervised)
