We are seeking a proactive and motivated Team Manager to oversee a team of Line Leaders within our production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and driving team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, support, and direction to Line Leaders to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
- Monitor compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, and workplace safety regulations.
- Ensure all team members adhere to Health & Safety regulations, promptly addressing any concerns or hazards.
- Oversee production efficiency, ensuring lines operate smoothly and any issues are escalated appropriately.
- Work closely with Zone Leaders and QA teams to uphold product quality and safety standards.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with Line Leaders, identifying areas for development and providing coaching where necessary.
- Promote a continuous improvement culture, encouraging innovation and best practices within the team.
- Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and production records in line with company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with wider teams to resolve operational challenges such as delays, ingredient shortages, and equipment breakdowns.
- Support Line Leaders in diagnosing and resolving machine breakdowns, escalating complex issues to the engineering team.
- Lead weekly food safety audits and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Person Specification
- Essential: Previous experience in a leadership role within a food manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of GMP, food safety, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Organisational skills with an ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.
- Desirable: Experience conducting audits and quality control checks.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with production machinery and troubleshooting issues.
