About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company across a wide range of sectors. As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of a range of mechanical projects from initial enquiry to completion — overseeing technical site assessments, managing installation and commissioning teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results on time and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager or Project Engineer looking to take full control of the project lifecycle in a hands-on, technical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal engineering teams
- Carry out site visits, risk assessments, and technical surveys
- Create project schedules, manage resources, and track progress
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and industry regulations
- Manage project budgets, costings, and quotations
- Provide clear communication and updates to all stakeholders
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience in a similar Project Manager or Project Engineer role
- Background in HVAC, or mechanical installation projects
- A technical qualification (HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred)
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Project management certifications (e.g. Prince2, APM, PMP) are a bonus
- Full UK driving licence – travel to client sites is required
