A fast-growing food manufacturing business is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing and Social Media Coordinator to help expand its reach and engage with new customers. This role involves managing content creation and social media strategies while supporting internal marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be creative, highly organized, and comfortable collaborating across teams.
Key Responsibilities
External Marketing Duties:
- Develop and execute social media strategies and content calendars for various platforms.
- Create engaging photo and video content based on products, events, and trends.
- Edit photos and videos to build a robust bank of marketing materials.
- Draft newsletters for customers featuring market and NPD trends.
- Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and new technologies.
- Design promotional graphics and footers for product campaigns.
- Schedule posts, engage with the community, and monitor/respond to comments and inquiries.
- Manage LinkedIn profiles for Directors and Managers.
Internal Marketing Duties:
- Design posters and videos for internal events (e.g., Christmas parties, fun days, new starter announcements).
- Manage staff screens by highlighting events, birthdays, and other updates.
- Update customer-facing screens with welcome messages and other content.
- Format presentations and seasonal email footers for the team.
- Photograph internal events and upload to relevant channels, including a staff Facebook group.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Work with other team members to organise and execute events.
Requirements
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social media marketing (experience in the food industry is a bonus).
- Proven ability to create still and video content, with examples of previous work and content plans.
- Proficiency in photo and video editing tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable being both in front of and behind the camera.
