Work starts immediately. Staffing Innovations are looking for experienced Production Operatives with experience of Quality checking to join its successful team on a temp to perm contract. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Production Quality Checkers to support the smooth running of our clients manufacturing and finishing operations. This role is vital in checking the quality of materials before and after production runs ensuring all materials and finished products are to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Check the quality and organise all required materials for production runs.
- Approving first-off products before production starts (with training).
- Monitor work in progress, ensuring smooth handover between departments (finishing and packing).
- Carry out quality checks on materials and finished products.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, materials, and job progress.
- Keep the production area clean, safe, and well-organised.
- Report issues, shortages, or faults promptly to the supervisor.
- Recording results on quality control charts and flagging any issues early.
- Helping to investigate and resolve production defects.
The successful Production Quality Checker will have the following attributes:
- A keen eye for detail and a careful, methodical approach.
- A genuine interest in manufacturing or engineering.
- A team-focused attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous production or quality control or QC experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, or production environment (preferred but not essential – training provided).
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Monday to Friday - Shift Work: Week 1 6am to 2pm, Week 2 2pm to 10pm and Week 3 10pm to 6am. Candidates need to be able to follow a shift and be able to work all shifts.
