Senior Design Engineer

Are you an experienced Senior Design Engineer with a passion for creating innovative, commercially successful packaging solutions?

We're looking for a talented leader to join our Design Team and take ownership of packaging projects from concept through to production.

In this role, you'll combine engineering expertise with manufacturing knowledge to develop cost-effective, sustainable packaging solutions that perform flawlessly in high-volume production environments.

You'll lead a small design team, work closely with customers and internal departments, and drive continuous improvement across the design process.

What we're looking for

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience designing packaging solutions within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong CAD skills (Solid Works, Artios CAD, Auto CAD, TOPS and Cape Pack).
  • Excellent understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and structural design.
  • Experience with ISTA, ASTM and ISO testing standards.
  • Strong project management, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Passion for innovation, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality solutions.
