Norwich £44k per annum. Staffing Innovations is working with a first class manufacturing client leading the way in its field. With significant investment, the company is expanding and looking to recruit an experienced HSE lead for its business.
To support the QHSE Manager and the wider business team in achieving adherence to the environmental, health and safety standards, according to legislation and procedures. Active involvement in the drive for change, continuous improvement and promote a positive safety first culture. This role is key to the companies’ achievement of World Class Manufacturing and a ‘zero defects and zero accidents’ culture.
Key job elements:
- Compliance to H&S standards as per HSE company standards
- Audit compliance in ISO9001/14001 or 45001
- Successful completion & follow up to support close out of internal audits
- Reduction of internal NC’s in line with company HSE standards
- Adherence to Quality Roadmap/Plan
- EH&S training to be completed as per company and HSE standards
- Closure of all incident/ accidents as per company and HSE standards
- HSE Training compliance Quarterly emergency response drills to include all shifts patterns
The successful HSE lead must have:
- Experience of working within Quality is a must
- Experience of working within a FMCG workplace
- Qualified in Internal Auditing (BRCGS &/or ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.SPC & MSA techniques)
- NEBOSH Health and Safety at work
- Experience of product safety including an understanding of the principles of HACCP
- Experience in product safety risks and the controls in place to BRCGS and/ or experience of ISO9001, ISO 14001 or ISO45001 quality management system requirements
- Problem Solving techniques/ RCA
- Laboratory experience
- Good knowledge of current health and safety legislation and HSE best practises
Candidates must be a qualified HSE lead. Hours – Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours. Renumeration: £40k-£44k (depending on experience). This is reviewed annually and will be performance linked from 2026. 4% EE and ER contribution. Life assurance cover. 33 days annual leave (inc of public bank holidays). Paid sick leave (on successful completion of probationary period and related to length of service). Occupational Health annual assessments (more frequent if required). Role relevant external training (for further development).
