Staffing Innovations is seeking an experienced Stores Person to manage and maintain stock and inventory operations with efficiency and accuracy. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in warehouse and store management who thrives in a fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate stock control, timely dispatch, and smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods and materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using stock management systems.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to verify inventory levels.
  • Organise and label stock for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch goods according to company procedures.
  • Ensure store operations comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with suppliers, delivery personnel, and internal departments to manage stock movement.
  • Process stock requisitions and issue materials as needed.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, or other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised store environment.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience as a Stores Person or Warehouse Operative.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software.
  • Strong knowledge of stock control procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Understanding of warehouse health and safety regulations.

Preferred

  • Forklift license (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience in a relevant industry (manufacturing, retail, logistics, etc.).
  • Basic IT skills for data entry and stock reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
