Staffing Innovations is recruiting a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative to join a successful and well-established company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a Forklift Truck and handling a variety of warehouse duties in a safe, efficient, and organised manner.
Job Purpose
The Warehouse Operative is responsible for moving, locating, relocating, loading, stacking, and counting products using a Forklift Truck. They will ensure the safe and efficient operation of vehicles and uphold general warehouse standards and housekeeping.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times, encouraging safe working practices.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Drive forklifts, power pallet trucks, and other machinery as required.
- Complete daily checks on equipment and report any faults to the Line Manager.
- Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Stack/de-stack/restack lorries, trailers, or containers as needed.
- Re-stack pallets and keep warehouse areas clean and organised.
- Handle administrative tasks related to vehicle loading/unloading and stock control, including data entry and delivery note processing.
- Carry out stock checks as directed.
- Follow all procedures with diligence, prioritising safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Lock and unlock premises when necessary.
- Perform other warehouse duties as reasonably required by the company.
- Maintain flexibility, including assisting in areas and on tasks outside of the warehouse when required.
