Staffing Innovations is currently working with a highly reputable manufacturer based within the Norfolk area who are growing rapidly. Managing the close-knit engineering team, you will be responsible for the full engineering function within the business.
The ideal candidate will be an electrically qualified Engineering Manager or Engineering Supervisor who has worked within the manufacturing industry, more specifically in industries such as Food and FMCG. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager with a strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering who has experience of managing a growing team, supporting engineers on technical issues and being hands-on when needed, hence a good fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering is key.
Responsibilities:- Planned maintenance of manufacturing machinery, including machine and services safety systems.
- Provide effective reactive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of the production and utility equipment and systems.
- Effective fault finding and problem-solving.
- PPM Maintenance.
- Identification and sourcing of replacement parts and work to ensure the most cost-effective option.
- Working with other departments to ensure the business priorities are met.
- Correct use of tools and adequate use of the personal protection equipment provided and to adhere to all occupational health & safety instructions given by the business.
- Health and Safety awareness and formal training in functional legislation.
- Mechanical qualification at approved and certified national competence level.
- Experience of Electrical and Mechanical maintenance in manufacturing operations.
- Process knowledge of FMCG manufacturing advantageous.
- Continuous improvement techniques and project management.
- Ability to train others.
- Proactive in fault finding – mechanical (including hydraulic and pneumatic systems) and electrical.
