We are delighted to invite applications for the role of Deputy Manager at our nursery in Stanmore. This is a term-time only position and an excellent opportunity for a Level 5 qualified, high performing early years professional to join our Outstanding team.
Working closely with the Nursery Manager and the wider team, the Deputy Manager will play a key leadership role in ensuring that all children receive high-quality care and are supported through well-planned, engaging, and stimulating learning experiences, in line with the EYFS and Montessori curriculum.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Manager in the day-to-day leadership and smooth running of the nursery
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are fully met at all times
- Act as a key person, building strong and trusting relationships with children and families
- Lead by example, supporting and mentoring staff to maintain high standards of practice
- Work in partnership with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Contribute to the ongoing development, quality improvement, and vision of the nursery
- Be organised, caring, dedicated, and flexible
- Have a genuine passion for child development and early years education
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge and confident application of the EYFS
- Have Montessori knowledge and a creative, child-centred approach to learning
- Hold a Level 5 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
- Thrive in a leadership role that balances operational responsibility with hands-on practice
