Qualified Salary: £29,182.92 per annum for candidates holding a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare / Young People and Children’s Residential Care
Sleep-In Allowance: £75 per sleep-in
About the Role
We are looking for caring, reliable and motivated Residential Support Workers to join a residential service supporting young people in Ealing.
You will play an important role in providing day-to-day care, guidance and emotional support to young people, helping them feel safe, valued and supported while encouraging their personal development and independence.
The role involves working a combination of day shifts and sleep-in shifts, including supporting young people with their daily routines and responding appropriately to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care, support and supervision to young people within the residential setting.
- Build positive, professional and trusting relationships with young people.
- Support young people with their daily routines, personal development and independence.
- Provide emotional and practical support in line with each young person's individual needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help young people develop appropriate life skills.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and daily logs.
- Work effectively with colleagues, families and other professionals involved in the young person's care.
- Support young people to engage in education, activities and the wider community.
- Participate in staff meetings, training and supervision.
- Undertake sleep-in duties as required.

Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience working with young people, residential care, children's services, supported accommodation, education, or a similar environment would be beneficial.
A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare / Young People and Children’s Residential Care is advantageous and attracts the higher salary of £29,182.92 per annum.
Relevant experience may also be considered alongside the appropriate training and qualifications.
