We’re recruiting for an experienced Butchery Manager to lead production operations for a well-established and award-winning business in Inverclyde. Responsibilities in your new role as Butchery Manager:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a production butchery team of 12+ staff
- Ensure high-quality standards across all products and orders
- Oversee daily production and dispatch operations
- Conduct team reviews and provide ongoing training and feedback
- Improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Manage stock levels and control material costs
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Support the development of new and existing product lines
Your personality, experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience within production butchery or meat retail
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong understanding of meat cuts, preparation, and storage practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational and computer skills
