We\’re on the lookout for an ambitious Sewing Machinist to become an integral part of our client\’s textile factory in East Ayrshire. If you\’re passionate about fabrics and ready to bring your enthusiasm to this role, this opportunity is tailor‑made for you!

Your rate of pay and hours of work

You can expect an annual salary of £25,397 per annum.

The shift pattern for this position entails working from 06:45 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday meaning you get a long weekend every week!

Responsibilities in your new role as Sewing Machinist

  • Stitch cotton materials according to specifications.
  • Assist with make‑up tasks: cutting, inspecting, folding, and pressing to ensure the final product meets quality standards.
  • Support different stages of the production process as needed.
  • Maintain flexibility and attention to detail under varying production demands.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

  • Prior experience in a similar sewing or stitching role, demonstrating proficiency in fabric and garment construction.
  • Strong attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to perform efficiently under pressure, manage workload effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience with twin‑needle sewing machines is a plus.
