What you will get in your new role * Competitive pay of £12.50 per hour * Monday to Friday work schedule * Day Shifts with no weekends Responsibilities in your new role as a Manufacturing Production Assistant As a Manufacturing Production Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of production and managing material effectively. You will support production teams in moving materials, preparing work orders, tracking production data, and assisting with various needs on the shop floor. We are looking for a hands-on, organised, and safety-conscious person who can excel in our energetic manufacturing setting. Material Handling (15%) * Receive, move, and stage raw materials to designated production areas * Track inventory levels and alert supervisors to low-stock item * Operate pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts (if certified) * Oversee the receipt of incoming goods * Ensure proper labelling, storage, and rotation of materials (FIFO) Production Support (85%) * Prepare and distribute work orders, labels, and job packets * Document production outputs and downtime * Coordinate between production, inventory, and scheduling teams * Monitor the usage of supplies (e.g., packaging, labels) and report restocking needs * Assist in troubleshooting minor workflow issues and escalate as needed Your personality, experience and qualifications You will work in a lively manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required, including gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes. Be ready for shift-based work that may include early morning or late-day hours. A high school diploma or equivalent is required and prior experience in manufacturing, logistic or production is preferred. You should be capable of lifting 30-50 lbs regularly and able to be on your feet for extended periods. You should have strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for safety and team coordination, in addition to basic math and organisational skills. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one) and familiarity with inventory systems, spreadsheets or ERP software is a bonus.
