Our client, a leading family-run company, is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer, with a heavy bias on Electrical, to join their highly skilled team in a full-time role. If you have a background in Electrical and/or Maintenance Engineering and are passionate about maintaining high operational standards and ensuring that electrical systems run seamlessly, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to thrive in a supportive environment with ample room for career progression. This role is a 30-40 min drive from Glasgow City Centre. You will be required to travel to Renfrewshire on occasion, when needed.

Responsibilities in your new role as Multi Skilled Engineer:
In your role as a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and promptly responding to machinery breakdowns. You will be diagnosing and resolving faults on both electrical and mechanical systems while developing and executing effective service schedules to optimize equipment efficiency. Furthermore, you will support the installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery, all while ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
Your personality, experience and qualifications:
We are looking for someone with a degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, along with your 18th Edition certification. Strong hands-on experience in electrical fault finding, repair, and maintenance is essential, as is your confidence in working with PLC systems, control panels, motors, and automation equipment. You should be adept at troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, having developed your skills in fast-paced environments like food production or manufacturing. Your attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills will be key in fostering a collaborative atmosphere as you bring a can-do attitude and team-focused approach to your work.
