Responsibilities in your new role as Catering Chef
As the Catering Chef, your primary responsibility will be to prepare breakfasts, predominantly featuring hot morning rolls, as well as delicious lunches which may include soups, a variety of main courses, pies, pastries, chips, and baked potatoes. Due to management hosting board meetings and the sales department inviting customers to the plant, you will also cater to hospitality requests for meeting rooms with sandwich lunches and finger buffets delivered at noon. The kitchen is open plan, so being friendly and presentable in front of house is essential, along with maintaining a clean and organized working space.
As you settle in, you will take charge of your own temperature checks, cleaning rota, menu compilation, and food ordering. A relief chef with a good knowledge of the site will be on hand to support your induction and help you get to grips with the operations!
