Responsibilities in your new role as Sous Chef As our Sous Chef, you will be instrumental in assisting the Head Chef with all aspects of kitchen management. Your responsibilities will include:
Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to a consistent standard
Lead, motivate and support the kitchen team during service
Manage stock levels, ordering and food costs
Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
Assist with menu planning using fresh, seasonal Scottish produce
Work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver an excellent guest experience
Support weddings, private dining and special events
Help develop new dishes and continually improve the food offering
Your personality, experience and qualifications You have previous experience as a Sous Chef in a 5-star or luxury hospitality setting. You'll ideally have:
Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes
Experience contributing to seasonal menu planning and development
Confident leading, motivating and developing a kitchen team
Excellent communication skills with a strong command of English
Organised, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
A positive, hands-on approach with a commitment to high standards
Available to start immediately and quickly settle into a temporary role
