We are looking for a commercially minded Sales Manager with strong experience across corporate, MICE, and leisure markets. You will proactively identify new business opportunities, strengthen key account relationships, and develop targeted sales strategies to grow market share across all segments. Responsibilities in your new role as Sales Manager:

  • Conducting regular face-to-face sales calls, client entertainment, site visits, and networking events to build strong relationships.
  • Managing relationships with top producing corporate accounts.
  • Monitoring competitor products, sales and marketing activities to drive market share.
  • Leading new business development, identifying and creating new opportunities and strategic partnerships for the hotel.
  • Working closely with the Account Managers, networking to maximise national account opportunities across key segments.
  • Reviewing and analysing sales performance against objectives to assess effectiveness and adjust future strategy where appropriate.
  • Preparing monthly sales reports showing sales volume, pipeline opportunity, and areas of proposed sales and marketing activities.
  • Spearheading the hotel’s annual commercial plan, ensuring alignment across sales, revenue, marketing, and distribution.
  • Overseeing pricing, segmentation strategy, forecasting, and pace analysis for Rooms.
  • Using local market intelligence to anticipate demand drivers, including festivals, city events, conferences, and seasonal peaks.
  • Collaborating on advertising and promotional activities with the Cluster Marketing Manager, including print, online, social media and direct mail, maintaining a consistent brand image.
  • Leading sales, reservations, and revenue teams to deliver shared commercial goals.
  • Championing a sales-first mindset across all departments, ensuring every team understands their role in driving revenue.
  • Fostering cross-departmental engagement so front office, F&B, events, and operations teams align with sales goals and contribute to revenue opportunities by providing sales leads.
  • Producing and presenting weekly and monthly commercial reports to General Manager and key stakeholders.

Your personality, experience and qualifications:

  • Proven experience in reservations, sales or a similar analytical role within hospitality.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret financial and market data.
  • Proficiency in sales management systems, hotel reservation software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach to optimizing revenue and occupancy.
