Your rate of pay and hours of work
As a Housekeeper, you will receive a rate of pay of £12.21 per hour. Pay is weekly, with holiday pay accrued on top of the hourly rate and your working hours can be flexible in order to suit your personal commitments. Responsibilities in your new role as a Housekeeper
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning multiple rooms to an excellent standard as set out by the property and maintain high cleanliness levels of public areas. Your role will involve turndown service to ensure rooms are freshened up whilst guests are out or after check‑out. You will also ensure that guests receive a fantastic experience throughout their stay at the hotel by keeping all assigned rooms clean and tidy, as well as the stairways and corridors. Within this role, you may be required to work independently, in a duo or as part of a larger team depending on specific duties.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
You must have strong experience as a Housekeeper, in a busy and high‑standard environment. As an individual you should have excellent attention to detail, possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude and be able to meet targets in a highly demanding environment. Candidates should have strong communication skills, speak English to a high standard and have great personal presentation.
Although not essential, candidates who have regular access to their own transport may find it easier to reach certain assignments where public transport isn’t readily available.
