Responsibilities in your new role as Head Chef:

  • Lead kitchen teams for efficient operations.
  • Oversee food production, ensuring consistently high standards and timely execution.
  • Design and implement seasonal menus.
  • Build relationships with local suppliers for indigenous ingredients.
  • Coordinate banqueting production and service with kitchen seniors.
  • Control purchasing and food costs, adhering to hotel policy.
  • Ensure productivity through astute rostering and shift monitoring.
  • Support and implement changes to operating standards, policy, and procedure.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication, staff development, and product knowledge.

  • Cost new dishes and ensure up-to-date recipes across all sections.
  • Encourage Sous Chefs and Chef de Parties to develop new dishes weekly.
  • Perform other tasks contributing to department efficiency.

Your personality, experience and qualifications:

You will lead and mentor junior talent, fostering excellence, operational efficiency, and sustainable resource management. A relevant Food Hygiene Certificate and impeccable food safety knowledge are required, with strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Fire regulations. Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
