We're looking for an experienced Haulage Coordinator to join a well-established family business in Glasgow. In this permanent role, you'll use data and market insights to optimise transport operations, improve profitability, and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities in your new role as a Haulage Coordinator

As a Haulage Coordinator, you'll use data to support the ongoing performance and efficiency of the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Optimising transport routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Work closely with hauliers to identify backhaul opportunities
  • Monitor haulage rates and analyse UK transport market trends
  • Maintain and update transport pricing and cost models
  • Create reports and provide insights to support business decisions


Your personality, experience and qualifications

We are looking for a commercially aware and analytical professional with experience in a data, pricing, operations or logistics role. You will ideally have a background in manufacturing, production or haulage.

You will have:

  • Previous experience in an analytical or commercially focused position
  • Strong numerical and data analysis skills
  • Experience monitoring and reporting on KPIs
  • Ability to identify trends and turn data into actionable insights
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Confidence presenting information to different stakeholders
