What you will get in your new role:

Responsibilities in your new role:

  • Prepare and serve nutritious, delicious meals, expertly tailored to meet diverse dietary needs, including managing allergens and varying textures.
  • Collaborate closely with care staff to ensure seamless communication regarding resident requirements.
  • Uphold the highest standards of food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
  • Efficiently order kitchen supplies.
  • Develop creative menu plans.
  • Diligently follow all client instructions to maintain exceptional culinary standards.

Your personality, experience and qualifications:

  • Ideally possess a current PVG scheme membership or a valid Disclosure Scotland certificate (or be prepared to obtain one).
  • Hold a recognised Food Safety Certificate and Allergen Awareness training.
  • Demonstrate strong English language skills for effective communication within the care home environment.
  • Proven experience in a similar kitchen role (preferably within the care, nursery, or education sectors), with the ability to confidently make an immediate positive impact.
  • Regular access to own transport is not essential; however, some temporary assignments may require it due to specific locations.
