Truss Fabricator / Factory Operative We are currently recruiting for a Truss Fabricator / Factory Operative to join our client's busy manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual seeking stable, long-term employment with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
As a Truss Fabricator / Factory Operative, you will be responsible for manufacturing timber roof trusses within a production environment, working as part of a skilled and supportive team to meet production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
The Role Working within a timber engineering factory, the Truss Fabricator / Factory Operative will be involved in:
- Fabricating and assembling timber roof trusses to specification
- Operating production machinery and hand tools safely
- Reading and following production drawings
- Conducting quality checks on finished products
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Assisting with general manufacturing duties as required
Hours & Pay
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
- 39.5 hours per week
- £12.71 per hour
- Previous manufacturing, factory, construction or woodworking experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Good practical skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A strong commitment to health and safety
