Our client, a leading timber manufacturer based in Buckingham, is looking for a dedicated Production Operator¹ to join their team and play a key role in ensuring bespoke timber products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
As a Production Operator², you will be responsible for operating timber machinery with precision, monitoring the production process for quality and safety, and collaborating closely with your colleagues to meet daily production targets. You will also ensure that all materials are handled carefully, machinery is maintained routinely, and the workspace remains clean and organised, contributing to the smooth operation of the manufacturing process. Previous experience as a Production Operator³ or operating timber machinery is advantageous, though a reliable work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are equally valued.
Salary & Hours
- Hourly rate: £12.21 + attendance bonus 0.50 per hour when worked fall weekly hours. After 12 weeks when perm £12.21 + £1 per hour attendance bonus.
- Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am–5.00pm, Friday 7.30am–11.30am
- Opportunity for permanent placement based on performance
Key Responsibilities
- Operate timber machinery safely and efficiently to produce high-quality products
- Monitor production lines, identify any issues, and perform routine maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace while assisting the team with general production tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company protocols
