Our client, a prestigious material testing facility, is seeking a dedicated Machinist to join their small, close-knit workshop where precision and quality are at the heart of everything they do. Our esteemed client operates a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced manual and CNC machinery, offering full training and long-term development for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and setting up components for machining using manual equipment, ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Operating CNC machinery in line with established procedures to produce high-quality components, with full training provided for setting machines.
  • Carrying out detailed inspections and measurements to ensure all finished parts meet strict quality standards.
  • Supporting routine maintenance and helping to maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a machining or engineering environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • A strong desire to learn and develop as a Machinist.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to precision work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude and strong commitment to health and safety.

Salary: starting at £27,400 per annum

Working Hours: Shift pattern (6:00am–2:00pm / 1:30pm–10:00pm)
