Are you looking to build your career within a leading materials testing environment? Our Banbury-based client is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Quality Technician to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Quality Technician to work within one of Europe’s largest independent mechanical testing facilities, supporting global customers across the Automotive, Motorsport, and Aerospace sectors.

As a Quality Technician, you will play a key role in carrying out a variety of material testing procedures while ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and quality are maintained at all times. This position would suit candidates with previous laboratory experience, quality control knowledge, or an educational background in Mechanical Engineering, although full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out a range of material testing procedures including High Cycle Fatigue, Low Cycle Fatigue, Fracture Toughness, Crack Propagation, Creep and Stress Rupture, and Tensile Testing.
  • Support Chemical Analysis, Corrosion Testing, and Metallurgical Testing using specialist laboratory equipment.
  • Work closely with experienced technicians and engineers to deliver accurate and reliable results.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Progress from basic testing methods into more advanced testing techniques with ongoing training and development.
Requirements
  • Previous laboratory, manufacturing, or quality experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment or engineering principles would be beneficial.

Location: Banbury

Salary: £27,400 per year

Hours: Rotating shifts 6:00am – 2:00pm, 1:30pm – 10:00pm
