StaffCo Direct is recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers for ongoing trunking work based in Desborough. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering consistent long-term work, immediate starts, and competitive PAYE rates within a well-organised 7-day operation.
Drivers will benefit from a straightforward trunking role with pre-loaded trailers, modern equipment, and no handball involved.
Pay Rates (PAYE)
- Monday - Friday - £19.92ph including holiday pay
- Saturday - £21.09ph including holiday pay
- Sunday - £22.26ph including holiday pay
What the role involves
You'll be completing trunking work between distribution centres using pre-loaded trailers carrying ambient goods. This is primarily a drop-and-swap operation with no handball required. The operation runs 7 days per week, with shifts averaging 9–12 hours and 8 hours guaranteed per shift. Immediate starts are available with ongoing weekly bookings.
Our ideal candidate
- Holds a valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 1 year
- Has a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Has no more than 6 penalty points (no DD, IN, or DR offences)
- Temperature-controlled experience is preferred but not essential
