DerbyStaffCo Direct is recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Day and Night Drivers for ongoing trunking work based in Derby. We are offering consistent long-term work, immediate starts, and competitive PAYE rates within a well-organised 7-day operation.
Drivers will benefit from a straightforward trunking role with pre-loaded trailers, modern equipment, and no handball involved.
Pay Rates (PAYE):
- Monday – Friday AM: £17.73ph plus accrued holiday or, £19.87ph including holiday pay
- Monday – Friday PM: £20.95ph plus accrued holiday or, £23.47ph including holiday pay
- Overtime (after 9 hours) AM: £26.59ph
- Overtime (after 9 hours) PM: £29.81ph
- Saturday AM: £26.59ph
- Saturday PM: £29.81ph
- Sunday AM: £35.46ph
- Sunday PM: £38.68ph
What the role involves:
You will be completing trunking work between distribution centres with no handball required. The operation runs 7 days per week, with shifts averaging 10–12 hours and 8 hours guaranteed per shift. Immediate starts are available with ongoing weekly bookings.
Our ideal candidate:
- Holds a valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 1 year
- Has a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Has no more than 6 penalty points (no DD, IN, or DR offences)
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
