Our client is a leading distributor of water treatment plants to the construction, rail and utilities sectors. Due to continued expansion, Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer (Water Treatment Plant). The successful candidate will be an electrical bias engineer responsible for the installation, service, and repair of water treatment plants throughout Central England.
The Role: Reporting to the service manager, you will be responsible for installations, service, repair, and testing of water treatment plants at various industrial locations in your area. Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Installation and commissioning of water treatment plants including filtration, dosing units, osmosis plants, modular units, settlement tanks, monitoring equipment, and more.
- Mechanical maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, pipe work, filters.
- Electrical fault finding and repair of control panels, wiring, etc.
- Interrogating PLC control systems.
Candidate: You will be an experienced multi-skilled engineer with excellent electrical fault finding and repair skills and should have previous experience and knowledge of water treatment plants. You will have a recognised electrical mechanical engineering qualification e.g. NVQ3, 18th edition.
Ideally, you will have a valid UK driving licence. There will be travel throughout the Midlands region and occasionally throughout the UK to undertake your duties.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm + OT
Benefits: Basic salary £45K - £48K + OT + Bonus (OTE £55K), 33 days annual leave, Company Van, Healthcare, Pension.
