Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Manager (Electrical).
We are seeking an experienced electrical bias maintenance manager/supervisor with excellent management and/or supervisory experience to manage and control all maintenance and CAPEX project activities at a large heavy industry processing plant near Morden.
The Role:
- Oversee all planned & reactive maintenance activities and some CAPEX project work.
- Maintain and develop the existing CMMS.
- Manage and control a small team of maintenance engineers and external contractors.
- Plan, manage and control all maintenance activities and engineering projects.
- Effective Budget and CAPEX Project management.
- Monitor, source and order spare and replacement parts.
- Ensure adequate staff training, recruitment and disciplinary needs are met.
- Adopt a continuous improvement approach and help to deliver efficiency and cost savings where possible.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and HSE requirements.
- Provide hands-on assistance with electrical and mechanical engineering maintenance and repair of plant and machinery.
Candidate:
You will be an experienced maintenance manager/supervisor with electrical bias. Applicants will have previous experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector e.g. chemical plants, plastics, metals, quarry or recycling. You will have at least 5 years management/supervisory experience and you must be confident in leading a team of engineers and external contractors. You will hold a recognised electrical engineering qualification and ideally you will be trained in health & safety management to IOSH or NEBOSH level. You will have a recognised qualification in electrical engineering e.g. HNC, degree or 18th edition certification and you will have good knowledge and understanding of PLC systems. We are seeking a highly organised and effective leader who will maintain a visible presence on the shop floor.
