Maintenance Engineer

Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineer.

The successful applicant will undertake mechanical and electrical maintenance activities at our client\’s busy manufacturing plant near Ilkeston.

The Role:

Reporting to the engineering manager you will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive mechanical & electrical maintenance activities at a busy plastic manufacturing plant.
Duties will include but is not limited to;

• Mechanical fault find and repair of extruderrs, injection moulders, overhead cranes, mixing plant, granulators and more
• Gearboxes, bearings, shafts, motors, pumps etc etc
• Hydraulics, pneumatics,
• 3-phase electrical fault find and repair, contactors, sensors, relays etc etc
• Welding fabrication and toolroom work
• Some facilities maintenance

Candidate:

The successful candidate will be a competent mechanical engineer with good 3-phase electrical fault find and repair skills.

Ideally you will have previous mechanical maintenance experience ideally in a heavy industry or plastic manufacturing environment.

We are seeking applicants who have a NVQ 3 mechanical engineering qualification and applicants with a electrical engineering qualification would be beneficial.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday days 40 Hours
Overtime available
