Our client is an established manufacturer of special purpose machinery and due to their continued success, Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Design Engineer.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with good PLC skills. Time will be split 70% in office design and 30% working in the field supporting installations and commissioning.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the design and development of new control systems for a wide range of automated machinery and robotics.
- Design and develop new software controls from customer requirements
- Assist with on-site installations and commissioning
- Provide remote and onsite technical support for customers and field engineers
- PLC & HMI programming
- Undertake project work as and when required
The Electrical Design Engineer will have excellent PLC/HMI programming skills with knowledge of either Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or Omron PLC software. You will have a recognised qualification in electrical engineering.
Monday to Friday, 40 hours, 33 days annual leave, Pension.
