Our client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke plant & machinery and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Mechanical Design Engineer.
The Role:
- Working with the Project Managers and design team to create 3D design solutions for plant and machinery such as industrial ovens, spray technology, HVAC and LEV plant.
- Create advanced 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings for new products.
- Product testing & validation.
- Perform calculations (stress, deflection) and analyse test data to ensure safety and performance.
- Liaise with production, sub contractors and clients throughout all stages of the cycle.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation (BOMs) and revision control.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday
Candidate:
- You will be a competent mechanical design engineer preferably with experience in design of sheet metal fabrications, industrial ovens, spray paint technology, HVAC and or LEV plant.
- Applicants will have at least 3 years design engineer experience and will have a recognised qualification in design engineering e.g. HNC, HND, Degree.
- You will be fully conversant with 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
