Our client is a leading manufacturer of CNC, cutting and milling machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of CNC Machinery Service and Technical Support Engineer. This is an office based job but with occasional field service support and full training will be given. £40K - £45K + OT + Car + Benefits
The Role: The CNC Machinery Service and Technical Support Engineer will provide professional technical support and advice for customers and engineers to resolve machine breakdowns, assist with machine installations and commissioning and roll out software updates. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide technical advice by telephone, email and using remote on-line access
- Process incoming spare and replacement parts orders/enquiries from engineers and customers
- Investigate and resolve technical/engineering queries over the phone
- Maintain and update field service engineer work schedules and plan & coordinate customer visits as appropriate
- Process engineers job sheets and update CRM system
- Maintain training records and book training for engineers as and when necessary
- Attend occasional machine breakdowns and installations with field service engineers
Candidate: You will be a competent multi-skilled engineer (with electrical bias) and ideally you will have previous experience with automated machinery e.g. CNC, packaging, robotics. You will have HNC or HND qualification in either mechanical and/or electrical engineering. Applicants should have excellent electrical fault find and repair skills and ideally you will have good PLC controls knowledge too. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and you will be able to work well under your own initiative.
Hours of Work: Mon to Fri 40 hours
