Our client is a leading distributor of water treatment plants to the construction, rail and utilities sectors. Due to continued expansion, Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer (Water Treatment Plant).
The successful candidate will undertake installation, service and repair of water treatment plants throughout the North of England and the wider UK.
The Role:
Reporting to the service manager, you will be responsible for installations, service, repair and testing of water treatment plants at various locations throughout the UK. Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Installation and commissioning of water treatment plants including settlement tanks, treatment tanks, dosing skids, monitoring equipment and more.
- Mechanical maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, pipe work, filters.
- Electrical fault finding and repair of control panels, wiring.
Candidate:
You will be an experienced electrical and/or mechanical engineer ideally with previous experience and knowledge of water treatment plants. You will have a recognised electrical and/or mechanical engineering qualification e.g. NVQ3, 18th edition etc. Ideally, you will have a valid CSCS card and UK driving licence.
There will be travel throughout the North of England and sometimes throughout the UK with occasional nights away from home.
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm + OT
