Our client is a leading supplier of vehicle wash machinery and due to their continued success, Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer. We are seeking a field service engineer with good electrical engineering skills to undertake machine installations, maintenance, and repair work throughout the Midlands and North West of England.
Salary: £40K-£44K + OT + Van + Bonus OTE £48K-£50K
The Role:
- Reporting to the service manager, you will be responsible for 3-phase electrical and mechanical installation, service, and repair of commercial vehicle wash equipment.
- Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with vehicle wash machinery installation and commissioning
- Provide 3-phase electrical installation, fault finding, and repair of motors, control panels, contactors, sensors, relays, etc.
- Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repair work
- Undertake scheduled planned maintenance checks
- Ensure accurate visit reports, including details of work undertaken/completed, are recorded on the computer system
Candidate:
- You will be a multi-skilled engineer with excellent electrical and mechanical engineering skills.
- You will have a recognised electrical engineering qualification (e.g., 18th edition, HNC/NVQ 3) and good mechanical skills.
- Previous work experience with vehicle wash machinery or high-pressure wash systems would be beneficial but is not essential—training will be provided.
- You will be computer-literate and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – 45 hours
