Our client is a very successful and profitable engineering business, and Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Operations Director. We are seeking an experienced operations director with excellent knowledge and understanding of CNC engineering manufacturing.
The Role: Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategic operational plans to support and deliver the company's sales targets. Your duties will include:
- Management and control of manufacturing, engineering, operations, quality, and logistics functions.
- Ensuring effective fiscal control of all budget responsibilities.
- Developing and implementing strategies required to deliver business growth in line with the business plan.
- Developing and expanding a continuous improvement culture throughout the business.
- Reviewing supply chain and procurement functions and negotiating cost reductions, improved service, etc.
- Managing, motivating, and developing the management team and their staff.
- Ensuring legal compliance throughout the business.
Candidate: The successful candidate will be an Operations Director with previous engineering CNC and fabrication industry experience. Ideally, applicants will demonstrate previous success in delivering strategic goals for SME engineering businesses. Preferably, you will have previous experience in engineering products/parts for MOD, Aerospace, Nuclear, and/or Oil & Gas sectors.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - 40 hours
Excellent basic salary negotiable: £75K - £80K
