Our client is a very successful precision engineering business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Manufacturing Engineer. We are seeking candidates with previous manufacturing engineer experience working in a precision engineering or automotive manufacturing background.
The Role: The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for providing effective technical documentation support and process improvement activities for a busy automotive engineering business.
Your duties will include:
- Liaise with clients, design, engineering and production teams to ensure effective manufacture of orders
- Produce works instructions and package of works
- Produce PPAP documentation while liaising with project managers and quality teams
- Use CAD software to create imagery to support manufacturing
- Monitor and report on project/order progress
- Review supply chain and procurement functions and negotiate cost reductions, improved service etc.
Candidate: The Manufacturing Engineer will have at least 3 years manufacturing engineer experience in a precision engineering/automotive manufacturing environment. You'll be competent in the use of Microsoft Packages including MS Project and you will have a recognised qualification in mechanical engineering. AutoCAD and design engineering skills will be advantageous.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 37hrs
Benefits: Excellent basic salary negotiable £38K - £40K, 33 days annual leave, Pension
