Our client is a leading fire protection company providing fire detection and suppression equipment. This role requires an experienced Fire Extinguisher Engineer (BAFE Certified) who will also be trained in fire alarms and emergency lighting. The base salary ranges from £28K to £30K, with additional commission and overtime potential, giving an on-target earnings of £40K–£44K per annum.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate as a field service engineer, conducting planned and reactive maintenance and inspection of fire extinguishers across North England and Southern Scotland.
  • Test, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers in accordance with BS5306.
  • Install and commission new extinguishers and compliant signage.
  • Replace faulty devices.
  • Accurately complete reports and documentation.
  • Upsell and cross-sell Fire Safely ancillary products.
  • Schedule and manage own work schedule daily/weekly.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a Fire Extinguisher Engineer.
  • BAFE certification.
  • UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points).
  • Must be willing to train and upskill to a fire alarm and emergency lighting engineer.
