My client is the market leading Fire Safety company in Northern Ireland, based in East Belfast with a staff of 30. They provide a comprehensive range of fire safety products, services and training to keep local businesses legally compliant, fully insured and most importantly safe from fire. They have experienced year on year growth over the past decade and due to recent office expansion, they are now looking to recruit a Fire Stopping Engineer on a full-time or part-time permanent basis. You will help install ‘passive fire protection’ in a range of businesses.

Key duties:

  • Fire Stopping using Intumescent Products around holes / penetrations that go through floors and ceilings.
  • Installation of Fire Batt, Plasterboard and Cavity Barriers to compartmentalise fires.
  • Inspect buildings Fire Stopping, taking measurements, photos and notes to produce a report on Fire Stopping Requirements.
  • Selecting applicable products to achieve the required Fire Rating.
  • Complete the required work maintaining a safe and clean working environment in line with company RAMS.
  • Produce a post works report referencing the completed works, including materials used and photographic evidence.

Ideally, you’ll have 2 years’ experience in a similar role or be a competent Multi-Skilled Labourer with confidence in using hand tools and battery-operated tools in a construction/building environment. You will be a keen and enthusiastic individual that can fit into a small personable team. You’ll be able to work alongside other trades and use your initiative when working alone. You must have good communication skills, a good eye for detail/safety, be a problem solver and possess the desire to learn new skills and technologies.

Starting salary of £30,000 to £32,000 for full-time hours (40), Monday to Friday. Company van and tools provided. Full clean driving licence required. Company pension, competitive salary, staff uniform etc. Nice opportunity to join an expanding successful company.
