Staff Solutions UK Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced Van Driver on behalf of our client based in Barking, Essex. This position is offered on a temp – perm basis meaning you would work through us for the first 12 weeks and then be taken on permanently by our client. Please note that this position each day. You can expect to work for around 8 hours per shift, Monday – Friday, 5 nights. This would be 40 hours per week. You will be driving a long wheelbase van and making deliveries to companies based in London & Kent. You would need to be flexible with regards to working times as you will may be required to cover other drivers off on holiday or sickness. Key Responsibilities: ·
Operate a 3.5 tonne long wheelbase van for deliveries across London. ·
Maintain a clean & tidy vehicle. ·
Provide cover for other drivers during holidays and sickness ·
Learn and maintain all current delivery routes. ·
Ensure vehicle safety and report maintenance issues promptly. Requirements: ·
Proven experience driving a long wheelbase van in London. ·
Excellent knowledge of London's roads and traffic patterns. ·
Flexible and willing to start as early as 02.30am ·
Strong communication skills and organisational skills. ·
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules. Desirable: ·
Previous experience in a transport or logistics environment. Benefits: ·

Due to the start time we would prefer candidates to have their own transport or live locally. The rate of pay for this role is £15.00 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay. Once you become with the company the annual salary will be £27,534.12.
