Job Description
Staff Solutions UK Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced Van Driver on behalf of our client based in Barking, Essex.
This position is offered on a temp perm basis meaning you would work through us for the first 12 weeks and then be taken on permanently by our client.
Please note that this position starts at 03.00am each day.
You can expect to work for around 8 hours per shift, Sunday Friday, 6 nights.
This would be 48 hours per week.
You will be driving a long wheelbase van and making deliveries to companies based in London & Kent.
You would need to be flexible with regards to working times as you will be required to cover other drivers off on holiday or sickness.
Key
Responsibilities: Operate a 3.5 tonne long wheelbase van for deliveries across London.
Load and unload vehicle and keep it clean and tidy.
Provide cover for other drivers during holidays and sickness Learn and maintain all current delivery routes.
Ensure vehicle safety and report maintenance issues promptly.
Requirements: Proven experience driving a long wheelbase van in London.
Excellent knowledge of Londons roads and traffic patterns.
Flexible and willing to start as early as 02.30am Strong communication skills and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules.
Desirable: Previous experience in a transport or logistics environment.

You will receive full training for this role and will be paired with an experienced employee to begin with.
Due to the start time we would prefer candidates to have their own transport or live locally.
The rate of pay for this role is £15.50 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
Once you become with the company the annual salary will be £33,040.34.
To be considered for the above you will need the following: A valid licence with no more than 6 points that you have held for at least 1 year.
Recent UK van driving experience Multi-drop experience Good knowledge of London.
