We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pipe Welder / Pipe Fitter to join our client based in Sheffield (S9). This is a long-term opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality fabrication work and enjoys working on a variety of bespoke and production-based projects within a busy workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricating and fitting pipework to drawings, isometrics, and schematics
- TIG/MIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel pipework
- Cutting, bending, threading, and assembling pipe systems
- Carrying out tack welding, full welds, and finishing work to a high standard
- Using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery safely and effectively
- Working to tight tolerances while maintaining high quality standards
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and fabrication plans
- Supporting wider fabrication tasks within the workshop when required
- Carrying out measurements and adjustments to ensure accurate fit-up
- Proven experience as a Pipe Welder, Pipe Fitter, or similar fabrication role
- Strong TIG and/or MIG welding experience (coding beneficial but not essential)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and isometrics
- Experience working with stainless steel and carbon steel pipework
- Good understanding of fabrication processes, tolerances, and workshop safety
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to producing high-quality work
