Shifts: 3-Shift Rotation (Mon–Fri)

  • 06:00–14:00

About the Role

We’re looking for an electrically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. You’ll be the go-to technical expert on shift, supporting production, improving machinery performance, and keeping the site running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responding to breakdowns and providing reactive maintenance support.
  • Carrying out PPM, scheduled maintenance, and improvement work.
  • Fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Working with PLCs to diagnose and repair issues (Siemens/Allen Bradley).
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects to boost efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Installing, commissioning, and optimising production equipment.
  • Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborating closely with production teams to keep operations running smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (apprenticeship trained).
  • Strong electrical bias with multi-skilled capability.
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or high-volume production.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • PLC fault-finding experience (programming a bonus).
  • Knowledge of LEAN, 5S, TPM, or CI environments is desirable.
  • Ability to work under pressure and think analytically.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Full driving licence and own transport.
