About the Role
We’re looking for an electrically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. You’ll be the go-to technical expert on shift, supporting production, improving machinery performance, and keeping the site running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Responding to breakdowns and providing reactive maintenance support.
- Carrying out PPM, scheduled maintenance, and improvement work.
- Fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Working with PLCs to diagnose and repair issues (Siemens/Allen Bradley).
- Supporting continuous improvement projects to boost efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Installing, commissioning, and optimising production equipment.
- Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Collaborating closely with production teams to keep operations running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (apprenticeship trained).
- Strong electrical bias with multi-skilled capability.
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or high-volume production.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- PLC fault-finding experience (programming a bonus).
- Knowledge of LEAN, 5S, TPM, or CI environments is desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and think analytically.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Full driving licence and own transport.
