We are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller with strong Heidenhain programming skills for our precision engineering company in Rotherham (S65).
Pay Rate: £16.50 - £17.50 based on experience.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday Set Day Shift Or Monday - Thursday Set Night Shift.
Key Responsibilities
- CNC Programming — Create, edit, and optimise Heidenhain programmes directly at the machine.
- Machine Setup — Set tools, fixtures, and work offsets for production and one-off jobs.
- Precision Milling — Produce components to tight tolerances and high surface‑finish standards.
- Quality Inspection — Use micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and CMM data where required.
- Problem Solving — Adjust programmes, tooling, and machining strategies to improve efficiency.
- Reading Engineering Drawings — Interpret complex drawings and work with minimal supervision.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller in a precision engineering environment.
- Strong ability to programme using Heidenhain controls (essential).
- Confident with tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and machining best practices.
