Trainee Paralegal - Housing Department - full or part time. This very well established Law firm based in Hastings, East Sussex are looking for a Trainee Paralegal, the role is very varied, duties include:
- To attend court as and where required.
- To work as part of the team and support the Fee Earners and other trainees.
- To attend internal and external courses as appropriate.
- To be based mostly in the Housing Department but willing to assist other departments when required.
- To keep full up to date and comply with Solicitors rules of conduct.
- Where appropriate, to have a good knowledge of the public funding system.
- To provide an efficient and friendly service to clients, by adopting a business like, polite and sensible approach in their telephone manner, written dealings.
- Able to liaise with other Law firms as and when required.
- To ensure the smooth running of the practice, a trainee will be expected to adhere to the administrative procedures set out in the office manual.
- To write letters and produce documents in so far as possible in plain English with a good quality of presentation.
- To have a legal background i.e. Law graduate or experience of working within a Law firm.
- To have good IT skills and able to communicate with clients both face to face and over the telephone.
