Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to work for our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are completed on time and in excellent condition. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and team members. You will also need to be physically fit as this will involve heavy lifting. Shifts Shifts are often early morning starting from midnight onwards Long hours available Overnight runs available You will start at head office in Spennymoor and travel to various locations across the UK Ad hoc hours and temp hours available Duties Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the transportation of goods to various locations. Conduct pre-delivery checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transit. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Experience driving flatbed vehicles is advantageous but not essential. A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles is required.
